students.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS –

Montessori Para Educator

Salary: $16.66/hr.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must possess and provide evidence of High School Diploma or GED certification.
• Sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited institution; or passing scores on the Work Keys basic skills test or the ETS para pro test prior to 2017.
• A Child Development Associate credential (CDA), Associate Degree in Early Childhood/Child Development, or a written plan to complete the CDA or Associate Degree in Early Childhood/Childhood/Child Development for Early Childhood Montessori classrooms.
• Must be willing to attend and complete 45 hours of Montessori Assistant Training
Essential Functions:
1. Assist the teacher with individual instructional tasks
2. Assist the teacher with tasks such as recordkeeping, checking students’ work, preparing and distributing instructional materials, etc.
3. Serve as a liaison between the school and the family.
4. Attend parent-staff meetings, during regular working hours.
5. Participate in in-service workshops.
6. Observe student performance and assist in planning and implementation of appropriate instructional activities.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.
